Ensuring Ethical Research Practices

The Center partners with researchers and scientists from top universities and medical facilities across the country, and has its own federally-approved Institutional Review Board (IRB). The IRB approves, monitors, and reviews all biomedical, behavioral and environmental research projects, in conjunction with university IRBs for various research projects. The Center abides by strict ethical principles in the conduct of its biomedical, behavioral and environmental research, and all participation by individuals is approved with parental consent and individual assent.
