DNA Daily Decisions #3: Water – The Original Energy Drink
Did you catch our recent installment of DNA Daily Decisions? DNA Daily Decision #3 – Water: The Original Energy Drink highlights how your body depends on water to function at its best. Staying hydrated supports your heart, brain, and muscles, helps move nutrients throughout the body, removes waste, and regulates temperature.
Making hydration a daily priority is a simple but powerful step toward better health—try incorporating more water-rich foods like fruits and vegetables, and consider swapping sugary drinks for water, sparkling water, or herbal teas.

No single choice makes or breaks your health, but the accumulation of daily decisions makes a real difference.
Autism Awareness & Acceptance MonthDid you know that this month is Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month? It’s time to deepen understanding and continue building a more inclusive, supportive world for individuals with autism. At The Center for Discovery, we are proud to advance care and support opportunity each and every day – it’s what we do best! |
More Than a Farm: CSA Season Is Here
One of the most flavorful times of the year is almost here – sign-ups are now open for the 2026 Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program. From early June through November, enjoy 23 weeks of fresh, seasonal vegetables grown right here on our Demeter-certified, biodynamic farm – harvested at peak ripeness and often in your hands within days, not weeks. More than a farm, The Center’s Thanksgiving Farm® is a living classroom and a place of purpose. Students and residents are actively involved in growing, harvesting, and caring for the land, gaining meaningful skills while helping to nourish our broader community. Every share reflects not only exceptional quality and care for the soil, but the hands and hearts behind the work. To learn more or sign up, visit here. |
A Better Reach: Expanding Access at the Sink
The Innovation Team at TCFD has enhanced the Faucet Extender to improve sink accessibility for individuals who are unable to reach the faucet or handles due to limited reach or the size and positioning of their wheelchair. Incorporating user feedback, the updated design features a pivoting joint and extended arms for greater adjustability and range. The design increases access and ease of use, allowing individuals to engage more independently, safely, and comfortably in self-care tasks. Now installed in several residential homes and classrooms, the extender is already making a meaningful difference, demonstrating how thoughtful, inclusive design can remove barriers and support independence in everyday life. |
