As America celebrated its birthday, ABC’s Good Morning America celebrated our slice of the American dream for people with complex conditions on national television.
Correspondent Paula Faris highlighted The Center’s production of Beauty and the Beast as well as all the key elements of the work here at The Center –the focus on whole person healing and healthy living through organic nutrition, exercise and education. Associate Executive Director, Dr. Terry Hamlin, also discussed The Center’s exciting research on the horizon on the gut microbiome. She said the findings could be so powerful they will “could change the way we treat autism”.
Faris met with our now famous actors and actresses from Beauty and the Beast and visited our residents as they tilled the land, sorted eggs and tended the crops. In the story she spoke movingly of the profound impact of The Center’s programs and the potential for future progress based of our model.
