DR. THERESA HAMLIN HONORED WITH 2026 WALTER A. RHULEN AWARD

Recognition Reflects The Center for Discovery’s Decades of Innovation, Service, and Impact

The Center for Discovery® (TCFD, The Center) is proud to announce that President and CEO, Dr. Theresa Hamlin, has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Walter A. Rhulen Award, presented by the Sullivan County Partnership for Economic Development. The award recognizes individuals whose leadership exemplifies business excellence, community commitment, and service to humanity.

Dr. Hamlin will be honored during the Partnership’s Annual Meeting on October 8, 2026, at Resorts World Catskills.

For more than four decades, Dr. Hamlin has dedicated her career to advancing The Center for Discovery’s mission of transforming the lives of children and adults with complex conditions through integrated clinical care, education, research, and innovation. Under her leadership, TCFD has become internationally recognized as a model for whole-person care, pioneering groundbreaking initiatives including the SynergE6® Healthspan Model and innovative approaches that demonstrate the profound connection between health, environment, nutrition, and learning.

Today, The Center for Discovery is one of the nation’s leading providers of care for individuals with complex disabilities and Sullivan County’s largest employer. Through its nationally recognized programs in healthcare, education, agriculture, nutrition, research, and workforce development, the organization continues to improve lives while strengthening the regional economy.

The Walter A. Rhulen Award is among Sullivan County’s highest honors, recognizing individuals whose professional achievements and commitment to community have made a lasting impact on the region.
