Thanksgiving Farm® Community Supported Agriculture Program
Are you a community member looking to join our Community Sponsored Agriculture (CSA)? Each year, our very own Thanksgiving Farm® supports 300 Community Sponsored Agriculture (CSA) share members, which includes staff, families, and members of the community. Our Thanksgiving Farm spans over 300 certified organic acres throughout our Stonewall Preserve, Tutto Bene Farm, Hadley, Vista, Sweet Hill and our Main Campus, or home farm – all local farms within Sullivan County, NY. Each year, Thanksgiving Farm® grows over 60 different kinds of vegetables, flowers, and herbs, and is also home to three orchards.
The 2019 Thanksgiving Farm® CSA distribution will begin the week of Tuesday, May 28th, and will continue for 23 weeks through October 29th. The Saturday distribution will begin on June 1st and will conclude on November 2nd. Members are invited to pick up their share one day per week at either of the following locations and times:
- Tuesdays: 3:15pm and 6:00pm at the Carrus Institute
- Saturdays: 10:00am to 12:00pm at THINC at TCFD on Main Street in Hurleyville, NY.
At the pick-up, produce is arranged in bins. Bring your bags to collect your share, as none will be supplied at the pick-up. Each week, please sign in and check the list of items and quantities available that day, and then put together your share as you visit with friends, other members, and farm staff who are always there to assist you and answer your questions. There is a revised Harvest Schedule on the back of the Prospectus for crop species.
We will also be offering 3 Flower U-Picks to all CSA Members at their pick-up time. These 3 dates will be spread out from July through September and will be announced when the lower crop is ready to be picked.
