Supporting Discovery: The Endowment Campaign

The Center for Discovery is nationally and internationally recognized as a leader for its innovative programs and services, its commitment to the environment and its leadership in research in the field of disabilities. Currently The Center is in the midst of its first-ever major fund raising campaign to secure funds for expansion of the campus and to build The Center’s endowment to ensure its future sustainability. Entitled “Supporting Discovery: The Campaign for The Center for Discovery,” our goal is to raise an initial $25,000,000. Two of The Center’s board members, John R. Milligan (current president) and Dr. George J. Todd co-chair the campaign with many volunteers serving as campaign leaders.

We're excited to share that the campaign has already surpassed the 66% mark and has received more than $16.4 million in gifts and pledges to date. For our first-ever major fund-raising campaign, we are pleased with what has been accomplished so far. However, we still have much to accomplish to meet and exceed our goal. It is truly an extraordinary effort and now is the time to “bring the campaign home,” We can and we will accomplish with your help.

Additionally, it is important to know that there are many ways to give. Please consider a stretch pledge with payments made within a five-year period. And while the Campaign can benefit best from gifts of cash and securities, planned charitable gifts established through bequests, gift annuities or trusts can also be considered.
